Mediterranean Rose

San Salvatore 1988 winery is offering a new rosé from Aglianico grapes this year, Il Bufalo Rosa, which is pleasant and centered in price.

Peppino Pagano is one of Cilento’s most famous entrepreneurs, and since 1988 he has been producing wines at the 1988 San Salvatore winery in Giungano, obviously in the province of Salerno.

His Paestum Fiano Pian di Stio is probably the most famous and valuable, but for some time now he has been offering some rosé wines from Aglianico grapes. Il Vetere, always Paestum Doc, and now Il Bufalo Rosa, which is not outdone by him except for the price, which is very centered.

The winery is based in the Cilento National Park, in a land with a strong identity, and the vineyards are set on different elevations and almost close to the sea, where the soil and climate conditions give the wine a very fascinating marine imprint. 97 hectares in total of vineyards, olive groves, orchards and woods.
