Data sheet of the FCO Bianco Pomèdes 2022 Scubla:
Appellation: Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Grapes: 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Tocai Friulano, 10% Riesling Renano Exposure and vineyards: Hilly marly soils; selection of the best grapes harvested slightly beyond normal ripeness. Selection is made exclusively from old vines. Harvest: Manual, over mid-September; 55 quintals per hectare. Vinification: Whole grapes in soft pressing; after decanting at low temperature, the must ferments in 50% new and the rest second-passage French oak barriques and tonneaux. Maturation lasts 8 months practicing frequent batonage; followed by blending for 10 months in stainless steel tanks maintaining contact with noble lees, then bottle aging for 3 months. Alcohol content: 14 – 14.5% Acidity: 5.5 – 6 g/l
