Data sheet for AA Gewürztraminer Nussbaumer 2022 Cantina Kellerei Tramin:
Appellation: Alto Adige Doc Grapevine: Gewürztraminer Age of vines: 10 to 40 years Yield: 45 hl/ha Altitude: 350 -550 m Exposure: southeast 70%, south 30% Soil: calcareous gravel and clay, with porphyry rock underlay. Harvest: late October Bottles produced: approx. 75,000, 850 magnums and other large sizes Climate: large temperature fluctuations due to warm days, influenced by the Mediterranean climate, and cool nights with very fresh winds coming from the mountains Vintage 2022: Above-average spring temperatures resulted in earlier budding. A prolonged period of high temperatures in May accelerated flowering. Thanks to focused work in the vineyard and sporadic showers, the vines survived the summer months of extreme heat without stress. The harvest began almost two weeks earlier than usual, and thanks to ideal weather conditions, the grapes presented an exceptional degree of quality. The red wines of the 2022 vintage are excellent, as they have reached an excellent degree of ripeness and developed complex notes of fruit. The flavor is full and has very pronounced aromas. The white wines, on the other hand, are characterized by pronounced fruit notes, refinement and very balanced acidity.
