DoctorWine’s selection for Vinitaly

As we do every year, DoctorWine will have its own booth at Vinitaly (April 14-17) where we will hold 12 seminars featuring the best Italian wines and offer a selection of about seventy wines to dispensers. All this for Vinitaly Tasting The DoctorWine Selection in Hall 10 C2.

It has been more than a decade since the Vinitaly entrusts us with a space to organize tasting activities. They take place through seminars and with the presence of dozens of wines that can be tasted from the dispensers that Wine Emotion provides us with. People can visit us and taste them, we are in Hall 10 C2, the one of Piedmont and Liguria just to understand us.

For the seminars you must make reservations (links to the different days are below), paying the symbolic fee of 15 euros at Vinitaly. If you take a look at what they will be, twelve in all, you will see that the selected wines are amply worth that amount.

All this activity is within the framework of the Vinitaly Tastings and since this collaboration began, the booth has always been a truly remarkable success, with hundreds of participants each year.

Returning to the seminars, the real beating heart of the initiative, they will be taught not only by yours truly, but also by leading DoctorWine contributors, whom you will thus be able to meet in person.

The point of all this is to focus on at least a couple of hundred wines from as many producers, which later, if they had piqued your interest, you could go and find in the various pavilions of the Fair, in their specific stands.

As you certainly know by now, the Vinitaly will take place in Verona from April 14 to 17.. To say that we are waiting for you is even an understatement. It will also be a way for us to meet many readers with whom we will interact to make DoctorWine better and better.

Direttore responsabile di DoctorWine nonché il direttore-curatore della Guida Essenziale ai Vini d'Italia by DoctorWine, Daniele Cernilli è un critico enologico di fama internazionale. Nel 2011 ha creato il web magazine DoctorWine dove mette a frutto la sua quarantennale esperienza. Giornalista e critico di vini (è stato cofondatore del Gambero Rosso nel 1986, curatore della guida Vini d’Italia per 24 edizioni, direttore del magazine Gambero Rosso, personaggio televisivo alla guida del Gambero Rosso Channel oltre che collaboratore di diverse testate nazionali specializzate e non, e attualmente è direttore responsabile anche della rivista L’Assaggiatore dell’Onav - Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Vino), conferenziere e docente ai corsi professionali di degustazione e analisi sensoriale, scrittore (è autore del libro I racconti (e i consigli) di Doctor Wine - Einaudi 2014; Vitigni del mondo - La Conchiglia 2012 - in collaborazione con Dario Cappelloni; Memorie di un assaggiatore di vino - Einaudi 2006). Dal 2014, in collaborazione con un selezionato staff di degustatori e giornalisti, ha pubblicato con Mondadori le prime due edizioni della Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia 2015 e 2016 e con MD Comunication le edizioni successive della Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia. Dal 2012 è degustatore ufficiale al concorso Decanter Wine World Award (DWWA). Nel 2015 è stato selezionato per far parte del Wine Writers’ Hall of Fame della Wine Media Guild di New York e in passato è stato incluso nella classifica della rivista inglese Decanter tra le 50 persone più influenti nel mondo del vino (2007-2008-2009). Dal 2019 è chairman di 5stars - The Book di Vinitaly International.
