So, as for many years DoctorWine has been involved in visiting wineries and selecting wines, we decided to make a guide about the touristic and gastronomical aspect of the matter.

We point out many wineries which, besides the wine aspect, have also created a particular accommodation. Some of them with a classic farmhouse, others with real country relais, maybe creating a real restaurant, or a typical trattoria using local products, truly “zero kilometer”.

So here you’ll find lots of advice, directions, temptations, to go and visit places often out of the flow of tourists and literally immersed in the green and tranquility.

Here, then, is a selection of 210 wineries that are right for us.

Scattered throughout Italy, reachable without any particular problem, ready to welcome you to offer an authentic cuisine, in many cases with cozy rooms, and then wines of excellent quality, sometimes cheese, salami, extra virgin olive oil, and many other things.

In short, we have created a book that we would have liked to find, a guide based on our experience of years, made of visits, tastings, discovery of territories and very often of smiling and helpful people, the winemakers, who in these cases also become hosts and innkeepers. We want to make you feel like visiting them, discovering what we have seen and experienced over the years.

We want you to meet nice people, fantastic foods and wines and delicious places. We hope we succeeded.
