The Rimini area is also present in 2024 with the RiminiRebola group at Vinitaly, in the pavilion of the Consorzio Vini di Romagna.
Rimini Rebola Doc, fits in among the 4 Romagna protagonists at Vinitaly (Romagna Sangiovese Doc, Albana Docg, Novebolle Romagna spumante Doc) and wants to win over visitors with its verve. De resto shows a great aptitude for every moment of consumption: an authentic expression of the territory that, with its hillside overlooking the coast, tells stories of the sea and age-old traditions for an unforgettable sensory experience.
The three Rimini sub-areas will be well represented at the major wine event, with an 18-station collective with Romagna producers at Emilia-Romagna Hall 1 , Booths B4 – C8.
The double desk will feature alternating producers involved in the RiminiRebola project over the four days and will give the opportunity to taste the Rebolas of the Rimini area declined by subzone.
The three subareas of RiminiRebola
For Coriano, Le Rocche Malatestiane, Podere Vecciano and Tenuta Santini will be present. For San Clemente Agricola i Muretti, Cantina Fiammetta, Cantina Franco Galli, Enio Ottaviani and Fattoria Poggio San Martino. Verucchio will be represented by Ca Perdicchi, Cantina Pastocchi, Podere dell’Angelo, San Rocco.
At Vinitaly, however, the individual winery will not be told, but the hills, the vineyards and the faces of the producers of the Province of Rimini with its subzones will be told.
An extraordinary opportunity and a great responsibility
“Being at Vinitaly for Rimini producers is on the one hand an extraordinary opportunity on the other a great responsibility. –declares Nicolò Bianchini, representative of RiminiRebola producers and Vice President of Rimini Wine Route. – Rimini has realized that it has a wine that has been historicized for centuries that tells of Adriatic, salt, hot clays, hills that meet the sea, all this is enhanced in Rebola, Rebola is the flavor of Rimini.”
“Competition among producers has yielded a virtuous result. In addition to the quality paths identified in the RIMINI bottle, we are producing a manifesto of productive intentions that move toward sustainability, greater social and productive cohesion, and targeted and less invasive interventions. – Bianchini continues – Many young people have entered Rebola’s production. Lo do so with humility and a willingness to learn by seeking a balance between novelty and tradition, using listening and trying to cross over in future project events territory, novelty and tradition.”
Considerable growth
Rebola, the iconic wine of the Rimini area, as part of the Rimini Doc increased from 75,000 bottles in 2022 to over 130,000 bottles in 2023 with a significant increase in average price. Its presence at Vinitaly is meant to be an element of reflection on the entire Rimini wine sector, which has taken the path of awareness by aiming for products where quality and the right natural relationship with the vineyard and the land are at the center of producers’ actions.
