Stefano Milioni al Culinary Institute of America

Stefano Milioni, 40 years after contributing, along with Tony May, president of the Italian Restaurateurs Group USA, to the creation of the campus dedicated to Italian cuisine and the opening of the Caterina de’ Medici Restaurant, returns to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA).

Stefano Milioni returns to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). He returns to give the first in a series of master classes on the historical and cultural roots of Italian gastronomy and wine.

The first event will be held on Friday, March 28 in the Blackberry Farm Theater at the Hyde Park (NY) venue. It will have as its theme the history of pasta, from the miseries of imperial Rome to the refinements that, during the nineteenth century, laid the foundations of contemporary Italian cuisine and set it off to conquer the world.

The Culinary Institute of America is America’s most prestigious professional school for those in the restaurant and food industry. Located in the historic Hyde Park location along the Hudson River. It occupies what was formerly the monumental site of the Jesuit Seminary led by the great theologian, philosopher and anthropologist, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

The quality and professionalism of its courses are evidenced by an extraordinary statistic: 80 percent of students enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program already obtain employment contracts from America’s most prestigious restaurants at the end of their second year.
