Cecchetto and AIPD: everything is ready for the bottling of solidarity Roboso. There will be 1,500 bottles produced, all with labels made by the Association’s youngsters, and they will be sold at Vinitaly at the Veneto Region stand.
On Saturday, March 11, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, the boys of the Italian Association of People with Down Syndrome (AIPD) – Marca Trevigiana section will return to the Cecchetto winery to bottle Raboso del Piave 2022, which was harvested and crushed during last October 15’s grape harvest. This year’s production will yield about 1,500 bottles customized by labels designed and signed by the AIPD kids, which they will present during the upcoming Vinitaly at the Veneto Region stand. The bottling team will consist of: Michele and Andrea at bottle filling, Matteo and Stefano at the capsuling machine, Michele at the corking machine, and Michael, Erika, Giulia and Antonella at the dedicated labeling bench.
“Eighteen vintages of Raboso del Piave with AIPD for eighteen vintages in the company of incredible young people, families and volunteers,” says Giorgio Cecchetto. “To be able to be part of a concrete and supportive project that involves the entire community is for us a source of great satisfaction. A commitment that does not stop at a single initiative but is declined on all fronts of social sustainability, doing business in a shared and inclusive way and never leaving anyone behind.” The project, which is part of AIPD’s social autonomy activities, enhances, on the one hand, the strength and uniqueness of Raboso del Piave-the only native red grape variety of the Marca Trevigiana-in creating moments of aggregation and sharing with the community, and on the other hand, the peculiarities, traditions and history of an area capable of resisting adversity and reinventing itself by focusing on environmental protection and the value of human relationships.
Amorim Cork Italia has joined the initiative again this year and will be present at the event, donating its caps to the youngsters, who will be able to bottle Raboso del Piave 2022 with sustainable and quality closure solutions.
