Presented Rome Doc…et, a project between Culture, Promotion and Business

Intense program of activities, with the Capital increasingly at the center of the project. President Tullio Galassini: “Roma Doc labels essential business card for the city’s restaurants and hotels. A natural union that we have a duty to develop in the best possible way.”

These have been intense months for the Consorzio di Tutela Vini Roma D.O.C., at the center of numerous activities that have brought the area’s labels to important stages such as ProWein, Vinitaly, Merano and VitignoItalia. A real tour de force that has had as its common thread the careful promotion of the wines and member companies of the Consortium. Which, in these days, presents the Roma DOC…et project that includes a series of actions equally divided between culture, promotion and business. Situations that will see the capital at the center of operations.

“Rome is and must be the natural commercial reference for our wineries,” explains Tullio Galassini, President of the Consortium, “This obviously does not mean renouncing the promotion of our wines at other scenarios as well, but simply reiterating the fact that the Capital represents the logical landing place for all of us. Precisely for this reason in the coming months, through the Roma DOC…et project, we will work to create a strong liaison between our producers and the Capitoline trade world. Certain that we can count on the contribution of institutions and trade associations, with which we want to set up a working table that will create the conditions for a synergistic operation that can bear fruit.”

Roma DOC…et will move on several fronts. In fact, it will continue its policy of promotion towards consumers, through participation in the most important events in the sector such as VitignoItalia (Naples May 14 and 15), Vinòforum (Rome June 9 to 18, in the first five evenings) and still on the calendar: participation in VinoXRoma (May 24/27), in Hortus Vini June 16/18 and in Ostia during Mare Divino (July 8). But it will also speak to insiders, with situations tailor-made for them. On June 5, in fact, an event reserved for the Roman trade is scheduled to take place in the beautiful spaces of the roof terrace of Hotel Flora, on Via Veneto. While on July 17, the Consortium’s labels will be tasted during a special event organized in collaboration with the FIS at the Cavalieri Hilton in via Cadlolo that will also feature a masterclass reserved for a limited number of guests.

Also during the months of May and June, the Consortium has also organized a series of press tours that will allow the trade press to learn more about the different areas that characterize the territory of the denomination. “All this while keeping alive relations with cultural situations and actively working on education for responsible and conscious drinking,” stresses Rossella Macchia, vice president of the Consortium. “Roma DOC…et is a wide-ranging project that follows parallel but strongly interconnected paths. A discourse that will not end in the next few months but will continue by focusing on issues such as promotion, tourism, business; but also training, attention to sustainability, media relations. We are a young Consortium but we have every intention and will to carry out our projects with the utmost enthusiasm and professionalism.
