Nobili parole: the storytelling of the Consorsio del Vino Nobile

Nobili Parole: a series of meetings with great guests to “match” Vino Nobile di Montepulciano with Italian culture.

An initiative launched by the Consortium in collaboration with the Municipal Administration to decline the link between territory, products and great Italian personalities in an innovative way. From Carlo Cracco to Katia Ricciarelli, via Marco Malvaldi, Beppe Convertini and Enzo Gambaro, some of the protagonists
A goblet and the fragrance of words to tell in a new and original way a product such as wine.  Nobili Parole is the new declination of story telling in the sector conceived by the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano together with the Municipality of Montepulciano in partnership with Studio Private Collection Eventi. It is a series of eight meetings that will take place in the Antica Fortezza di Montepulciano starting in May and ending on October 12 starting with the first appointment scheduled on Saturday, May 6 at 6 pm when Carlo Cracco, one of Italy’s most famous chefs and a great lover of wine, will be the protagonist. It will be him, author of iconic dishes, relentless judge and host of successful TV formats, who will talk about the value of food and its connection with wine in the opening event with the emblematic title “Good wine is good blood.”
“If wine is culture,” explains the president of the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Andrea Rossi, “we want to combine the two. And to do so we have chosen one of the most prestigious and unique venues for Italian wine, the Enoliteca consortile, in the Fortezza di Montepulciano. A structure in a unique location recovered by the will of our producers and which, thanks also to the archaeological excavations, hosts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. We have set up a series of meetings that will draw to Montepulciano many protagonists of culture, ranging from cuisine, noir, to theater and music, all meeting taste, with the simultaneous tasting of our wines.”
Concept also reiterated by the mayor of Montepulciano, Michele Angiolini. “Nobili Parole represents a beautiful novelty in the cultural offer of Montepulciano and a further opportunity to appreciate the complexity of our wine heritage understood not only as a product, but also as a source of inspiration for creativity and art. Montepulciano becomes the ideal context for trying to read contemporaneity from even very different points of view, thanks to the series of encounters planned with guests of the highest level who will take turns to share their experiences, their stories, their reflections linked in some way to the world of wine, one of the cultural, as well as economic, elements that characterize our land.”

The cycle of scheduled meetings. Noble Words opens on May 6 with Carlo Cracco and “Good Wine Makes Good Blood.” “The Wine Moment of Thought and Introspection” is the title of the meeting with writer Marco Malvaldi to be held on May 11, while on May 23, soprano Katia Ricciarelli, star of “Libiamo nei lieti calici” (this event in collaboration with Palazzo Ricci) will be the guest speaker. Then “In vino Veritas,” June 8, is the container designed for Cesare Capitani, actor and author, while on June 22 it will be the turn of soccer player Enzo Gambaro with “The Thin Red Line.” Then we move on to September: on June 14 with “Wine, Genius and Madness” and writer Romana Petri and on June 28 with “Vine, Wine and the Environment” and the presence of agronomist Alessio Capezzuoli. Last appointment, on Oct. 12 is with Beppe Convertini, TV host of “Linea Verde” and “Azzurro- stories of the sea” with “The real journey of discovery is not visiting new lands but having new eyes.”  All meetings are held at 6 p.m. at the Fortress.
