First edition of Morellino nel Cuore: 10 Morellino di Scansano Docg wines, selected by a jury of renowned tasters, star in three evenings in Tuscany.
- Antonio Boco – Tipicamente, Food and Wine
- Andrea Gori – Intravino e Business People
- Riccardo Margheri – Vini Buoni d’Italia
- Richard Baudains – Decanter
- Stefania Vinciguerra – DoctorWine
- William Pregentelli – Vini Gambero Rosso
These ten labels will tour Tuscany together and become queens of three dinners open to the public and the press where journalist Antonio Stelli and one or more representatives of the Consortium will explain their characteristics and peculiarities to those present.
The theme of this first edition of Morellino del Cuore will be “Morellino even in summer,” served at a lower temperature and also paired with fish or vegetable dishes, demonstrating the versatility of a wine in which Sangiovese expresses less edginess, with tannins that are never too muscular and more prone to softness, characteristics that marry well with even cooler serving gradations.
The first evening will be held May 24 in Florence at Boulevard Parc Bistrò, a venue for the promotion and dissemination of quality wine, event space and bistro. Before the dinner there will be a tasting led by journalist Antonio Stelli reserved for the press and a limited number of guests. (For info on the tasting write from May 10 onward to pr.enogastronomia@gmail.com)

The second is scheduled for June 22 at lo Scoglietto restaurant in Rosignano Solvay (Li), one of the coast’s most popular establishments with one of the most interesting wine lists in Tuscany, where only fish dishes will accompany the Morellino del Cuore.
