Barolo en primeur makes record number of donations and brings the total raised to 3 million 398 thousand € in four years in support of 73 solidarity projects. Appointment in October 2025 for the fifth edition. Barolo en primeur 2024: €1,027,000 raised for solidarity projects.
Barolo en primeur confirms expectations and breaks through the €1 million wall: the solidarity auction, promoted by Fondazione CRC Donare ETS and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani, raises an additional €40,000 for the fifteenth and final barrel, which was auctioned during the World Alba White Truffle Auction at Grinzane Cavour Castle. The total proceeds will thus be donated to 18 solidarity projects that include cultural, social, educational and welfare initiatives.
The bid for the last batch came from Hong Kong, where an anonymous donor offered €40,000 for the fifteenth and final barrel, which will benefit Mother’s Choice Foundation, a charity that has been working in the same Asian city since 1987 to help orphaned children and young mothers in need.
There are 18 charitable projects supported in this edition of the solidarity auction, which thus rises to 73 charitable initiatives supported in the first four editions.
