Ottavia Scagliotti left us in silence, with the elegance that she always had and that, for 95 years, marked her life.
Arriving in Valdobbiadene in the 1950s, she was able, alongside Giuliano, to rebuild in the post-war period a small, fundamental piece of an entire territory, and with perseverance and dedication she believed in a small project that has now become an established brand.
With tenacity and grit she was able to act as a glue in times of difficulty and enjoy the successes achieved first together with Giuliano and then with their daughters, managing with a steady hand the crucial, delicate and sudden generational transition and contributing to the new history of the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Her eternal adviser, Ottavia and Giuliano’s was an established couple, who together created the greatest success, the family.
Almost a century of life, an immense collection of milestones, of rich and fulfilling moments, of values passed on.
In the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her, there remain of her the stories and testimonies of years past, which she never tired of narrating.
