DESCRIPTION

Maria Ida and Tani Avallone are the fortunate owners of what is now one of the most comprehensive wineries in Campania. It owns vineyards in Casertano, Sannio and Irpinia, covering almost all the major regional appellations. But above all, they have rediscovered the world’s oldest wine: Falerno, which is produced using modern winemaking systems but following the tradition of aging in amphorae. Today Villa Matilde is a recognized leader in the production of territorial wines.
