The 2007 in the Verdicchio area was not an exciting vintage, indeed.
To the eye even this Villa Bucci seems marked by a sad fate: the color is less vivid, less yellow, less concentrated, even the greenish notes seem subdued.
Instead, the nose reveals notes of great finesse and elegance, with a very long consistent mouthfeel of green apple and pear.
I am ready to bet on the great future of this vintage that will come further out at a distance, like a marathon runner.
