100% Sangiovese. Bright garnet ruby. We return to an olfactory profile more in keeping with the tradition of this wine, with notes ranging from currant to blood orange, then violet, hints of underbrush, raspberry and slight anise. Taut and agile palate, gritty but not aggressive, savory, elegant, clear fruit of a cooler vintage. Finale more subtle but of rare finesse.
