100% Grillo from the coastal strip of the municipality of Marsala and inland from the province of Trapani. It is matured 44 years in 300-liter ancient kegs and has been aging in temperature-controlled bottles since July 2008. It is the best reserve of the 1960-1970 decade.
The color is a dark but bright topaz with a golden nail. Difficult to describe because of its sheer complexity. From ethereal notes to aromatic wood, from the citrus sensations of candied orange to the spiciness of ginger, curry and cinnamon, from dark chocolate to caramel and then dates, nuts, iodine and more, all of great envelopment. The alcoholic note is perfectly integrated. The palate is everything you could want from such a wine: full, complex, enveloping and deep, with an incredibly long finish. A meditation wine of great character and personality.
Only 1,000 bottles produced.
