Josko Gravner is one of the great producers not only in Friuli Venezia Giulia but in all of Italy. And he is, above all, a wine artist. In the deepest sense, in the direct and tactile, intimate, visceral and intellectual approach he has to the earth at the same time. His wines are imperfect canvases of rare beauty, difficult to understand and interpret. Like Josko’s intense and sharp gaze, on the surface gruff and instead slightly shy and humble as only great people can be.
