This tiny but extraordinary winery owned by Carlo Ferrini, an internationally renowned winemaker, offers excellent wines produced from Montalcino vineyards located not far from Sesta, on the road connecting Sant’Angelo in Colle with Sant’Antimo. Then, too, a Sicilian wine, more specifically from Etna, from a couple of hectares of 100-year-old, free-range vines that cannot avail themselves of Doc Etna status because they are more than 850 meters above sea level, and therefore higher than the limits set by the appellation. The result, however, is truly surprising, as moreover for the wines of Montalcino.
