DESCRIPTION
The winery led by Maurizio Zanella today is at the top of Italian sparkling wine production, with the Cuvée Annamaria Clementi and the Vintage Collection range. It was 1962 when Albano Zanella and Annamaria Clementi bought the land in Erbusco with the attached farmhouse nicknamed Ca’ del Bosc that she fell in love with at first sight. As soon as the family realized the potential of those lands, they decided to buy the neighboring land, and soon the first vineyard was planted. The turning point came with son Maurice’s trip to France. He returned with the idea of producing quality sparkling wine, so much so that in the late 1970s he made the first experiments with the classic method of Franciacorta. The values of that time tell the essence of today: very high levels of quality in the vineyard and cellar, a style founded on elegance and an undoubted aptitude for excellence.
