Abbazia di Crapolla
DESCRIPTION
On the Sorrento Coast, in the Lattari Mountains, where centuries ago Benedictine monks built a granary at the Abbey of Crapolla, the winery was born halfway between sky and sea, 300 meters above sea level on the fjord of the same name, on a plain of sand and lapilli from the eruptions of Vesuvius, overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The vines are treated with organic fertilizers, and the wines are made from free-range autocne and Pinot Noir grapes, with surprising results.
