From January 24 to March 1, 2025, Il Borro resort opens its doors on weekends for a unique experience between wellness and nature. An exclusive retreat to discover Tuscany in a season of quiet and wonder.
Getting to Il Borro, Tuscan wine estate and albergo diffuso in the heart of the Upper Valdarno, means taking a leap back in time. The ancient medieval hamlet welcomes guests with its appearance unchanged for centuries, surrounded by nature that harkens back to days gone by. 1,100 organic hectares with 85 hectares of vineyards for the production of high-end wines, 33 hectares of olive groves and a proprietary oil mill̀ for the production of excellent extra virgin olive oil. Also located within the farm are a organic vegetable garden, a farm open-air and free-range laying hens, a sheep farm for the production of fresh and aged cheeses, and over 100 beehives from which organic honey of different varieties is obtained.

Owned by the family of Ferruccio Ferragamo since 1993 (son Salvatore, in charge of the winemaking and hospitality business, and daughter Vittoria, in charge of sustainability, are engaged there), another important activity of the estate is hospitality. Il Borro is a member of the Relais & Châteaux Association. and the resort is among the few facilities open in Tuscany during winter weekends. With the package “The Borro Winter Escape”, the Relais offers stays of one or two nights, accompanied by experiences designed for every type of traveler, to rediscover the pleasure of an authentic Tuscan winter
, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. For those with a passion for gastronomy, a range of gourmet activities. From Cooking Class, in which guests learn how to prepare typical Tuscan dishes together with Executive Chef Andrea Campani, to the Cocktail Class, a unique opportunity to learn the secrets of mixology.
Lovers of wellness will be able to choose an exclusive course at the Spa The Court. U n oasis of relaxation that offers personalized treatments to regenerate body and mind. A complex structure
The Il Borro resort includes a hamlet fully restored medieval village that houses within it 38 elegant and refined suites; three prestigious villas. Dimora Storica, Villa Mulino and Villa Casetta and the 20 suites of “Le Aie del Borro.” The Relais & Châteaux solutions are joined by “I Borrigiani.” three farmhouses managed under the agritourism formula. Also, four restaurants: the Osteria del Borro, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Pomario le Aie del Borro and the Vin Café Orto del Prete, under the guidance of executive chef Andrea Campani.
