Gustophia – Dispensa Popolare is a treasure chest of taste in the Cilento region, an innovative gastronomic project conceived by the Prince Mazzacane estate. A Successful Project
The origin of this project is rooted in deep reflection: what is taste? Is it an innate pleasure or a knowledge that is acquired over time? Through the analysis of various thinkers of ancient philosophy, Gustophia aims to spread “taste” in a larder that pays homage to the work of popular figures such as farmers, cheesemakers, winemakers and bakers.

Annacarla, a journalist from Naples and Cilento, for love of her partner Andrea moved to Omignano, where she indulges her passion as a producer and entrepreneur. I cheeses have a crucial role since his great-grandfather had goats, raised in Naples and grazing on Mount Vesuvius. One of the last breeders of the Neapolitan goat.
A fate that set the course for Prince Mazzacane Estate. N ata in 2019 and which in just a few years has established itself as a benchmark for goat cheese lovers. Goat cheeses, by Annacarla Tredici and Andrea Giuliano, made from the milk of their native breed of goats, such as Nera, Grigia and Fulva, which graze in a semi-wild state, are the real stars. From spreadable cream to robiola, primosale and the innovative “Montestella (Cilento’s first charcoal blue cheese), to yogurt. Each cheese tells a personal story made up of choices and a deep connection with the territory.

In this gourmet boutique, which proves to be a hotbed of excellence with a careful selection of even the highest quality domestic products, designed to satisfy all palates, even the most demanding ones. , Gustophia presents the different varieties ranging from mozzarella from Caserta to mozzarella from the Sele plain, not forgetting Adolfo Valiante’s authentic mozzarella in mortella, a dairy wrapped in myrtle leaves, a rare specialty to find. One section is dedicated to the organic products, and includes special features such as gluten free and lactose free mozzarella. There is no shortage ofextra virgin olive oil with bottles from the best producers awarded by Italian critics, wines fine with a special focus on Cilento, champagne, craft beers, pasta handmade, legumes, jams, fresh bread signed Paolo De Simone, books about food and wine and much more.
