Gastronomic meetings at Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais. Resident chef Pietro Fortunati of La Tinaia Restaurant hosts prominent chefs from the Italian scene.

On Saturday, June 8, the La Tinaia restaurant, a catering project of Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais, aimed at lovers of contemporary cuisine, was the stage for a unique culinary experience. He initiated, in fact, the a series of appointments with different chefs from the Italian territory.

La contemporary comfort cuisine of chef Pietro Fortunati, who leads La Tinaia restaurant on a daily basis, met that of Daniel Zeilinga, Chef of Fàula Ristorante di Casa di Langa, and to follow other colleagues in the network. Preferred Hotels & Resorts of which Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais itself is a part.

For the diners, it was not just a dinner but a sensory journey through distinct culinary personalities, which began with
an experience in the garden together with chefs Pietro Fortunati and Daniel Zeilinga In collaboration with horticulturist Simone Moschini. The experience was complemented by an aperitif with some of the signature cocktails of the bar manager Fabio Serra and concluded with dinner for 4 hands.

A selection of wines by sommelier Giuseppe Trimboli, with estate wineries including Borgo Scopeto, Caparzo, Altesino and Doga delle Clavule, enhanced each dish.

The gastronomic experience at Fàula restaurant tells the story of a territory, its culture and excellences, and Chef Zeilinga has for years dedicated his work to
discovery of the productive realities of the territory, to bring out the best of local raw materials and suppliers.

The same concept is embraced by Chef Fortunati, whose passion leads him to use only ingredients from organic farming and natural livestock, sourced from the in-house farm and a few select local producers.

Next meeting on July 16

Dinners for 4 hands will continue during the month of July always in the refined atmosphere and cozy surroundings of La Tinaia restaurant.The second event will be held on July 16 with chef Valeria Piccini of the 2* Michelin Restaurant Caino .
