Vinum Alba, Italy’s largest open-air wine shop, from 2025 becomes International Piedmont Wine Fair

Alba, UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy, can now boast of being home to no less than two International Fairs. In fact, the Piedmont Region has reconfirmed the attribution of “International” status to the 95th Alba White Truffle Fair 2025 edition and, for the first year, the prestigious recognition is also awarded to the Vinum Fair, which precisely goes from national to international.

The 47th edition of the fair of Piedmontese wines and the territory of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero, Italy’s largest open-air Enoteca loved by tourists and consumers, will therefore be able to call itself “Vinum International Fair.” The qualification was obtained thanks to the high number of foreign tourists who in past editions chose to go to Alba and visit Vinum’s pavilions. The 2024 edition counted attendance from more than 22 countries around the world.

Vinum 2025 is a wine festival that has a program with lots of events. You will find tastings of Piedmontese wines, but also street food, aperitifs, cooking classes, children’s space, winery tours, music, folklore and more.

Let yourself be conquered by the great wines of Piedmont: the protagonists of the squares will in fact be the consortia for the protection of Alta Langa, Asti, Barbera d’Asti and Monferrato wines, Barolo and Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani, Brachetto d’Acqui, Gavi, Roero, Caluso Carema Canavese, Monferrato Casalese, Pinerolese, Colli Tortonesi, Nebbioli dell’alto Piemonte, Vermouth di Torino and the Consorzio Tutela Grappa del Piemonte and Grappa di Barolo.

The tastings

In the charming historic center of Alba, its squares are transformed into a paradise for wine lovers. Strolling among the many tasting counters, you can immerse yourself in the aromas and flavors of the great wines of Piedmont, accompanied by the experience and passion of the sommeliers of the AIS – Italian Sommelier Association, Piedmont section.

The tastings will be held on April 25, 26, 27 and May 1, 2, 3 and 4, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cooking classes

Discover a unique culinary experience in the heart of the Langhe.
In the charming Castle of Roddi, tradition meets innovation through exclusive theoretical-practical cooking courses. Guided by renowned chefs, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to create iconic dishes, discovering techniques and secrets of great gastronomy.

To make the experience even more special, an expert sommelier will carefully pair a wine with each dish, telling about the characteristics of the selected wines and revealing the secrets of the art of food and wine pairing.

Classes are held in seven professional steel stations, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, for an engaging and interactive experience. Each participant will be a protagonist in the preparation and, at the end, will be able to taste their creations, accompanied by a glass of fine local wine.

Thematic workshops aimed at providing the basics of proper wine tasting.

Notes of Vinum

A small musical journey in which to combine wine tasting with listening to live music in the setting of the Alba Wine School.
A unique sensory experience that combines the pleasure of wine with the magic of live music. A journey between flavors and melodies, where each glass harmonizes with the notes of a musical selection designed to amplify the emotions of the tasting.

Street Food ëd Langa

Street Food ëd Langa celebrates the authenticity of Piedmontese cuisine with local raw materials and products of excellence. A unique experience to savor tradition in a finger food version of the highest quality. Small gourmet portions that enhance the gastronomic culture of the area accompanied by a glass of wine, to be tasted freely while strolling through the city.

Vinum bimbi

A children’s area, with free admission, equipped with educational games handcrafted in wood and natural materials. A space dedicated to fun and discovery, where young visitors, together with their parents, can learn in a playful and engaging way about the magical hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
