Trento – DiVinNosiola
April 12 - April 26

A journey around a wine with an ancient soul: the 15th edition of DiVinNosiola returns to celebrate the territory and indigenous excellence of the Valle dei Laghi and Trento.
Everything is ready for DiVinNosiola, the event that from April 12 to 26 celebrates the Valle dei Laghi – enchanting area of Garda Trentino – through its history, its flavors and its flagship: Nosiola, Trentino’s only native white grape variety. A unique opportunity to immerse oneself in an ancient winemaking-wine tradition made of patient gestures and knowledge passed down, where each bottle holds the breath of the earth and the slow time of transformation.
Awaiting visitors is a rich program of culture, guided tastings, trekking in the nature of Garda Trentino. Also for the first time an unprecedented tour by small train among the wineries: to discover the uniqueness of Vino Santo Trentino DOC, Slow Food presidium and Nosiola wine.
Nosiola
The Valle dei Laghi, an enchanting Garda Trentino area nestled between Lake Garda and Trento, an ancient bed of the Adige River and now a natural oasis, provides an evocative backdrop for an event dedicated to the production of two types of Nosiola wine:
- Nosiola wine, fresh and delicate with an elegantly fruity aroma reminiscent of freshly picked hazelnuts
- the prized Vino Santo Trentino DOC, a Slow Food Presidium, which stands out for its elegance and aromatic complexity with its refined sweet notes of honey, apricot and spices. An authentic meditation wine, the latter is also known as the “passito of passito wines,” thanks to its long and meticulous production process. The Nosiola grapes are left to dry naturally for months on mats, called aréle in the local dialect, caressed by the constant breeze of the Brenta Dolomites and the “Ora del Garda,” the gentle breeze that crosses the Valle dei Laghi from Lake Garda. What makes it unique is the development within the clusters of noble molds, which promote an extraordinary concentration of sugar, giving the wine an unmistakable flavor.
This cultural heritage is kept alive with determination by the Associazione Vignaioli Vino Santo Trentino DOC. The association brings together six wineries, each of which interprets it with a unique and unmistakable style.
Many appointments to rediscover it.
