The Consorzio di Tutela del Lambrusco is organizing, in collaboration with DoctorWine, a day dedicated to the famous wine from Emilia-Romagna. Highlight was the masterclass led by Daniele Cernilli with 10 wines from the 10 producers present.

Lambrusco is one of the most iconic Italian wines, famous for its liveliness, freshness and versatility. It is a sparkling wine, mainly red, originating inEmilia-Romagna and parts of Lombardy.
Key Features
- Color: Ruby red with purplish highlights, but there are also pink and white versions.
- Nose: Fruity, with notes of strawberry, cherry, blackberry and, at times, flowers such as violet.
- Taste: Fresh and crisp, with lively acidity and often a slight residual sugar (in the amabile versions).
- Alcohol content: Relatively low (between 10-12% vol.), making it very drinkable.
- Types: It can be dry, amabile or sweet and is found in both still and sparkling (the most typical) versions.
The main types at Doc.
There are different types, related to grape variety and area of production:
- Lambrusco di Sorbara Doc – elegant and delicate, with clear color and marked acidity.
- Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Doc – structured, intense and tannic, with a characteristic dark ruby color.
- Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce Doc – balanced between acidity and body, very fragrant.
- Lambrusco Reggiano Doc-the most widespread and versatile, often amabile.
- Lambrusco Mantovano Doc – the only one produced in Lombardy, with a distinct sapidity.

Lambrusco is perfect for Emilian cuisine, thanks to its freshness and crispness that cleanse the mouth of fat.

- Cold cuts (Parma ham, culatello, feline salami)
- Fried gnocco and tigelle
- Pumpkin tortelli and pasta dishes with butter and parmesan cheese
- Lasagna Bolognese
