VinNatur Tasting, The Best Of Wine According To Nature: April 5-7 3 guided masterclasses and 200 winemakers gathered in Gambellara (Vicenza) for the event dedicated to natural drinking

VinNatur Tasting is not only a time to learn more about some aspects of drinking according to nature but also an opportunity to meet and talk with the winemakers of the VinNatur Association, which was founded in 2006 to promote itself in national and international markets and now brings together 300 wineries from twelve different countries.

At the festival’s tasting tables it will be possible to taste and from this year buy wines directly from the 200 producers from Italy, Albania, Austria, Germany, Spain, France and Slovenia. They share a commitment to sustainable viticulture, free of chemical additives and oriented toward the authentic expression of the terroir, with as little intervention as possible in the vineyard and cellar.

3 Guided Masterclasses

The 20th edition of VinNatur Tasting, scheduled at the Margraf showroom in Gambellara (Vicenza) April 5-7, will be enriched with three guided tastings to deepen the knowledge of wines according to nature, including old vintages and different interpretations in comparison.

  • On Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. Gianpaolo Giacobbo, wine writer and VinNatur advisor, will lead “How Long Can a Natural Wine Last?” Through a selection of labels, vinified with very low levels of sulfur dioxide and aged for at least 10 years, participants will discover their complexity and ability to evolve over time, dispelling the myth that they are meant for immediate consumption.
  • Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m. Microbiological alterations of wines by agronomist Giacomo Buscioni of Food Micro Team. A journey in which the main organoleptic changes of microbiological origin and their characteristics will be analyzed through a blind tasting of appropriately modified wines.
  • Finally, on Monday, April 7, at 2 p.m., the focus will shift to the most emblazoned of white grape varieties with a masterclass entitled Pure Riesling – Vinification Styles and Climate Impact. Speaker will be Dominic Wurth, wine consultant, who will lead a tasting journey between Germany and Italy comparing different expressions of this grape variety. From dry to softer and more structured versions, participants will explore the main winemaking techniques and the key role climate change plays in Riesling’s evolution. The meeting is sponsored in collaboration with Korkindustrie Trier.
