Back – on the world’s most famous Cypress Avenue – is the coveted and scenic dinner of the Consortium Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Appellation and the excellence of an unparalleled wine-growing territory and ambassador of great Italian Wines in the the world.

Back on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 – in one of the most renowned territories for wine production in Italy and the world – the new edition of Bolgheri DiVino, the event of the producers of the Consortium of Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC wines with the spectacular “Dinner of a Thousand” on the Avenue of Cypresses in Bolgheri, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Denomination and the wine excellence of an extraordinary and unparalleled territory.
After 3 years since the last edition, the iconic Dinner On the Avenue of Cypresses, “The Event” most acclaimed in the Italian Wine world, is repeated to bring together, on a special occasion, the producers associated with the DOC together with their guests.
It will be an exclusive occasion, strictly by personal invitation of the Members, which will be attended by about 1,200 distinguished guests around a very long table of more than 1 kilometer, set along the famous tree-lined avenue of cypresses celebrated by Giosuè Carducci, a symbol of the Bolgheri landscape.

The Wines of Bolgheri DOC

Bolgheri Superiore 2021 and Bolgheri Rosso 2022 were released this year . The 2021 vintage was undoubtedly one of the greatest in Bolgheri’s history, allowing for perfect expression of the unique depth, finesse and elegance of the terroir.
Bolgheri Rosso 2022 wines show non-excessive alcohol degrees and excellent levels of acidity, guaranteeing the freshness typical of the appellation.
As for the 2023, on the other hand, whose first Bolgheri Rosso will be released in September there is great satisfaction from producers for the balance and harmony that has been achieved.

The Consortium DOC Bolgheri and DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia

The Consortium for the Protection of DOC Bolgheri and DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia Wines is the Protection Consortium officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry as the sole body responsible for the Promotion, Protection and Management of the two appellations concerned.
The Consortium was established in January 1995 within months of the creation of the red wine specification in late 1994.
In 2014, the Consortium obtained the highest level of recognition from the Ministry, receiving the mandate to operate Erga Omnes, that is, with respect to all producers.
To date, the Consortium consists of 74 producers whose vineyards account for 99 percent of the total 1,365 hectares.
Almost all wineries in the area carry out all stages of production, from the vineyard to bottling.
In calendar year 2023, bottled production was about 6,700,000.
Although the territory of the appellation is very limited, the producers have been able to make the most of the many facets of the territory and in a few years Bolgheri wines have become among the most appreciated by critics and the global market, also having the highest average value per appellation in Italy The Partners and The Team Behind Bolgheri DiVino 2024.
The Event is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, the Region of Tuscany, the Province of Livorno and the Municipality of Castagneto Carducci.
Main Partners of the event are UniCredit and Pictet Asset Management, which have shown a strong commitment to supporting the potential and value of this area.
Scaramuzzi Team, creator of the event was responsible for the creation, organization and management of Bolgheri DiVino, having always supported the Consortium in all editions.
The creation of the menu and the service of the dinner and wines will again be entrusted to Guido Guidi of Florence.
At the entrances of the magical Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the venue of the dinner, will be placed iconic sculptures by the renowned Maestro Andrea Roggi.
