Very hot vintage and early harvest, except for Cabernet, which was harvested after the late September rains.
80% Sangiovese, 20% between Cabernet Sauvignon and Colorino. Matures partly in barrel and partly in tonneau 18-24 months.
The color is very vivid, the bouquet centered on balsamic notes of Mediterranean scrub, medicinal herbs, and underbrush. There is no shortage of small dark fruits. The palate is rich, consistent, with solid tannins and an almost creamy development that takes on volume. Balsamic aftertaste.
