Sal8 Bar Agricolo enters Top 500 Bars with cocktails born from the garden. Owner Giulio Neri: “Rewarded our spontaneity.”
Twenty-four positions climbed in one year and the confirmation that even in San Vincenzo there is an establishment that can contend for a place among the world’s best bars with big cities. It makes quite an impression, in fact, to see the name of “Il Sal8 Bar Agricolo” pop up next to that of colleagues working in San Francisco, Taiwan, Barcelona or even Rome itself. The context is that of the annual “Top 500 Bars” award, a prestigious international recognition that is awarded based on an elaborate algorithm capable of evaluating parameters such as the quality of cocktails, that of service, shared time and products.
Sal8, which a year ago was ranked 462 in the world, reaches 438 this year. Nestled in the park of the Relais Poggio ai Santi, in an environment that constantly winks at chic and vintage atmospheres, the bar can count on an innovative formula: the cocktails come directly from the garden next door.
“Our drinks,” confirms the owner, Giulio Neri, “all have names of vegetables or fruits. A peculiarity that distinguishes us and that has also been rewarded technically, because it means turning those raw materials into elaborate cocktails. Alongside this, the algorithm recognized us with some inalienable distinctive traits: spontaneity, conviviality, and the desire to experiment. Our name rumbles among those of metropolitan giants-a gigantic achievement.” Easier with a team that shares the mission: “We all feel like disseminators of good drinking,” Neri concludes, “and social animals. You go to the bar to share taste paths and pieces of life: a formula that is working and now propels a small village upward.”
