The Casale VerdeLuna wine resort is an integral part of the project of Stefano Matturro and Gabriella Grassi, who decided to build a winery in the province of Frosinone and complement it with a hospitality sector.
Nestled among the vineyards of Cesanese and Passerina del frusinate, among the rolling hills of Piglio, lies the L’avventura farm and its Wine Resort Casale VerdeLuna.
Philosophy: producers of happiness
The name “The Adventure” perfectly reflects the company’s philosophy: a journey into the unknown, as life is, a continuous discovery day after day.
Stefano and Gabriella, with their innate curiosity and desire to learn, have faced the challenges of the agricultural sector with Entrepreneurial spirit and a large dose of humanity.
Come afferma Stefano, l’obiettivo non è produrre un vino tecnicamente perfetto, ma creare un prodotto che susciti emozioni.
The company’s logo encapsulates the founding values: the tree of life, a symbol of vitality and continuity; the tractor, a representation of hard work; grapes, the very essence of the winemaking adventure; and two hands joining, a symbol of solidarity and creation.
The company claim, “Producers of Happiness,” underscores the aspiration to make available not only quality wine, but A unique human and emotional experience.
La loro esperienza personale li ha spinti verso una convinzione che mettono realmente in pratica: “Nessuno con noi rimane indietro”.
Casale Verdeluna: a Wine Resort Surrounded by Nature
The Casale Verdeluna Wine Resort is an integral part of The Adventure Project.
Purchased in 2019, the farmhouse has been transformed into an accommodation facility that offers Six newly renovated rooms overlooking the vineyards, a restaurant serving local dishes and a swimming pool available to guests.
The name Casale Verdeluna, already well-known in the area, has been retained to enhance the history and reputation of the place as well as being evocative to the most romantic spirits.
The mission of the farmhouse is clear: to offer an experience of well-being and regeneration to its guests.
Attention to detail, customer care and the quality of products used are the pillars on which the Wine Resort’s offerings are based.
As Gabriella tells it, the goal is “simple,” and that is for customers, once they leave the resort, to think, “I had a really good time.”
Wines: like people, each has its own character
Adventure is distinguished by its ability to innovate and by this strong propensity to always emphasize the importance of the human component In relation also to the environment in which he lives.
The wines, striking with their original labels, have different and well-defined characters, even coming from only three grape varieties: Cesanese (d’Affile and Comune), Passerina del frusinate and Pinot noir.
Tinker Bell was born from the idea of creating a “Pinot Noir style” Cesanese, fresh and fragrant; Picchiatello represents a modern reinterpretation of traditional Cesanese aged in large barrels; Gabinius, a pure Pinot Noir, a feat deemed arduous by experts, is yielding excellent results; Amor, a barrel-aged Cesanese, characterized by a perfect balance of robustness, softness and a fresh balsamic verve, is capable of winning over a wide audience.
A total of eleven labels are produced, including two Metodo Classico offerings made from indigenous grape varieties and two interpretations of Passerina del frusinate.
The connection with the territory
The link with the territory is another distinctive element.
Stefano was born a few kilometers from Piglio and chose to enhance the native Cesanese grape variety by joining the appellation Cesanese del Piglio, a DOCG that produces high quality wines but is still relatively little known nationally and internationally.
The microclimatic and soil variability of the area allows for strongly characterized wines, thanks to a microzonation careful and to targeted winemaking techniques.
Sustainability and social inclusion
Adventure is not only synonymous with quality, but also with sustainability and social commitment.
L’azienda adotta pratiche di agricoltura organica rigenerativa e ha avviato progetti di inclusione sociale.
Questi valori di respect for people and the environment are an integral part of the mission company and contribute to creating an authentic and sustainable product: “In the bottle there is not only the grape, but also the intentions, choices and soul of those who produce it. We need to learn how to consciously choose the products we bring to the table.”
The entire production process is certified organic.
L’avventura farm and wine resort Casale Verdeluna represent a virtuous model in the Lazio wine scene.
Stefano and Gabriella, with their adventure, prove that it is possible to achieve what you believe in with courage, perseverance and a deep love for what you do.
Spending time at their facility means tasting high quality wines and food, but above all, living an experience that you will not forget and that you will take home with you.
