Following an agreement between siblings Sebastiano and Mita Castiglioni, Querciabella announces a major leadership change, reaffirming its commitment to continuity and sustainability.

Querciabella, a renowned Tuscan wine producer, celebrates a significant milestone in its 50th year in business with the announcement of a major leadership change.
Following a consensual agreement between siblings Sebastiano and Mita, the winery proudly welcomes Mita Castiglioni as its new owner, thus firmly maintaining family management, an increasingly rare phenomenon in today’s dynamic wine industry landscape.
Sebastiano’s decision to follow his passion for the art trade coincides perfectly with Mita’s desire to carry forward Querciabella‘s vision: a world in which wine production respects the environment, fosters social inclusion and promotes equitable economic development.

Half a century ago, I was fortunate to see my father, Giuseppe Castiglioni (Pepito), realize his dream with the creation of Querciabella.
Mita Castiglioni, new owner of Querciabella, tells us..
” With her extensive experience as a board member and shareholder of several companies, Mita brings solid strategic and managerial expertise to her new role as owner. In addition to her corporate commitments, she is actively involved in numerous cultural initiatives in both Mexico and the United States.

Transfer of ownership and soon to be generational

This change of baton sets the stage for an important generational transition, with Mita’s children, Andrea and Selene, poised to play key roles in the company’s future.
Andrea, along with his wife Marisa, runs a farm in Oregon and is looking forward to moving to Italy to contribute to Querciabella’s success.
Selene currently resides in Barcelona and has worked with Mexican institutions and nonprofit environmental organizations.
While maintaining her residence in Mexico, Mita will be frequently present at the company, bringing Querciabella back to the center of the Castiglioni family’s life.
Under the new leadership, Querciabella holds firm to its principles of excellence, innovation and respect for the environment. Roberto Lasorte, the current CEO, will continue to be in charge of company management, ensuring transparency and an effective governance model: ” As we head into this exciting new chapter, I would like to express all my gratitude to Sebastian for his dedication and leadership.
His contribution has been invaluable, and I am committed to continuing his focus on innovation, the environment and sustainable agriculture.”
