Valdo Spumanti
DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1926, it has a name that leads to the heart of the area devoted to Prosecco: Valdobbiadene, the hills where the wine of the same name becomes superior. The founders were a group of enterprising winemakers who, realizing the value of the land and the vineyard, came together to form the Società Anonima Vini Superiori, a company dedicated primarily to the sparkling of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze. Passing ownership in the 1930s to the Bolla family, it changed its name to Valdo Spumanti in 1951 thanks to Sergio Bolla, father of the current president, who began the modern era of what is now one of the major players in the Marca’s wine culture.
