Astroni
DESCRIPTION
In the heart of the Phlegraean Fields, the Varchetta family has been dedicated to wine for more than a hundred years, working to protect and enhance the entire ampelographic area. The winery abuts the Astroni crater, an extinct volcano that is part of the volcanic area bordering the WWF nature reserve, once the hunting ground of Charles of Bourbon. The wines produced have unmistakable style and character, thanks to the Mediterranean climate and soil composition consisting of lapilli, ash and sand.
