DoctorWine's small tour dedicated to Wines for Summer kicks off May 11 in Milan. The other stops are Rome on the 18th and Riccione on the 20th. Three tastings dedicated to summer drinking wines, which you will find recounted, along with much more, in our related subject guide.
If there is one event among the ones we organize that I literally adore, it is the one dedicated to wines for summer. This year we will even make three stages. The first will be on Saturday, May 11 in Milan, at the Prince of Savoy, Republic Square, 17. The second will be at Rome, Saturday, May 18, at Trimani Wine Bar at 37b Cernaia Street. The third a Riccione, Monday, May 20 at the Grand Hotel Des Bains, 56 Gramsci Ave. The Milan stage will be 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. while Rome and Riccione will be 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On the occasions we will present our booklet of the same name, which is now in its fourth edition, and there will be tastings of some of the wines in the book. All suitable for the period, easy to drink, and above all not too expensive. Elements that make them immediately sympathetic to any non-millionaire fan.
In past editions there has always been quite a crowd, among industry professionals and journalists and “ordinary” consumers, and we hope to see many of you there this time as well. What I can assure you is that it will be A fun and relaxed tasting, In places that are by the way very beautiful. In short, we are waiting for you with open arms and bottles.
