Casale del Giglio
DESCRIPTION
For Antonio Santarelli, the family estate began as a vacation spot as a child and then turned into a real job when, at the age of 25, he joined his father Dino. In the mid-1980s, the winery was involved in a major winemaking project with ampelographers and researchers with the planting of about 60 experimental grape varieties. Since then, work in the cellar has been overseen by winemaker Paolo Tiefenthaler, and production has focused on international grape varieties with some forays in recent years into indigenous varieties such as Biancolella and Bellone.
